Virtus Architectural Aluminium

Large dark aluminium 4700 sliding doors overlooking a landscaped garden
4700 Sliding Doors

Big openings. Built for everyday use.

A thermally broken aluminium sliding system for large spans, combining substantial glazed surfaces with clean straight lines and practical sliding operation.

Maximum sash width Up to 2500 mm
Maximum height Up to 3000 mm
Lift & slide weight Up to 300 kg
Glazing 26–36 mm
Why 4700

A flexible slider for substantial glazed openings.

4700 gives the project several ways to approach a large opening, from straightforward in-line sliding to multi-rail arrangements and lift-and-slide operation for heavier glazed panels.

01

Large glazed surfaces

Sashes can reach substantial dimensions, helping reduce the number of interruptions across wider garden-facing elevations.

02

Lift & slide option

Lift-and-slide operation allows the system to accommodate glazed sashes weighing up to 300 kg.

03

Two or three rails

Different rail arrangements allow the opening strategy to respond to wider elevations and different panel combinations.

04

Galandage option

Where the architecture allows, a pocket-style arrangement can let the moving sash disappear further into the surrounding construction.

4700 or COR Vision? Two different approaches to large aluminium sliders.

COR Vision is the more minimal system when reducing visible aluminium is the main priority. 4700 gives the project a more substantial sliding platform with multiple rail and operating possibilities.

Large-format sliding

Bigger panes. Fewer interruptions.

4700 is designed for projects where a substantial glazed opening matters more than chasing the smallest possible aluminium section. Large panes and flexible rail arrangements give the system room to work across wider elevations.

4700 Sliding A substantial slider designed around larger residential openings.
Large glazed panels, multiple rail possibilities and lift-and-slide operation where required.
Maximum sash 2500 × 3000 mm

Large individual glazed panel dimensions.

Lift & slide Up to 300 kg

For heavier glazed sliding panels.

Glazing 26–36 mm

Flexible insulated glazing range.

Rail options 2 / 3 rails

Different layouts for wider openings.

System detail

The detail matters when the panels get bigger.

Larger glazing changes the demands on the frame, track and operating system. 4700 uses a more substantial aluminium platform to support those larger dimensions and weights.

Construction

Built around the size of the opening.

Frame depth, sash construction and operating system can vary depending on the rail arrangement and weight of the moving panels.

Frame 115 / 120 mm
Three-rail frame 185 mm
Sash depth 50 mm
Polyamide strip 20–25 mm
Profile thickness 1.5 mm
In-line slider Up to 280 kg

Conventional sliding arrangement for substantial glazed sashes.

Lift & slide Up to 300 kg

Allows the system to accommodate heavier moving panels.

Project fit Where 4700 makes the most sense.
Wide garden elevations

Well suited to kitchens, extensions and living rooms with substantial garden-facing openings.

Multiple moving panels

Two and three-rail layouts give more flexibility across wider glazed elevations.

Heavier glass

Lift-and-slide operation can accommodate moving sashes up to 300 kg.

Galandage layouts

Pocket-style arrangements can be considered where the surrounding construction allows the sash to slide away.

Maximum sash dimensions and weights depend on the selected typology. Final rail arrangement, glazing and operation should be confirmed for the individual project.
